Darbar Move in Winter Capital | Div Com reviews preparations for reopening | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 27:-Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, today reviewed the preparations for the reopening of Civil Secretariat offices here in Winter Capital Jammu at a high level meeting of civil and police officers. Civil Secretariat and other move offices which are scheduled to close by ending October, 2011 at Summer capital Srinagar are likely to reopen at Winter capital by the end of first week of November. Dr Pawan Kotwal stressed upon the heads of various departments to ensure all possible facilities for the move employees coming with annual Darbar move at winter capital Jammu. He directed the concerned officers to ensure uninterrupted power supply, better sanitation and adequate water supply in the secretariat and residential quarters. The meeting also took stock of security arrangements. Divisional Commissioner asked the traffic authorities to strengthen deployment at all major rotaries and chowks for better regulation of traffic which increases many times after Darbar move. He asked the Estates Department for completing all the pending repair works in residential quarters well before the Darbar move. He stressed upon the officers of various departments to maintain coordination and synergy so that all the arrangements are made well in time. The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer PDD Shahnaaz Goni, Chief Engineer PWD Thaseen Mustafa, Commissioner JMC S C Sawhney, SE PWD, P. L Bhushan, SE PHE Urban V. K. Luthra, E. L. Estates S. Roshad Mustafa, Deputy Director Estates Dr. Arun Manhas, Traffic Manager Haji Mohammad, Assistant Manager SRTC Naresh Kapoor, DE BSNL S C Bhakhri, RTO Jammu Verinder Slathia, SP City North Jatinder Singh Johar, and other concerned officers of various departments.
