| 1800 grams of poppy straw seized, 2 nabbed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Sep 27:Police seized 1800 grams of poppy straw after it nabbed two drug peddlers at Challan near Ramkot in tehsil Billawar.
According to police sources, a party of police station Billawar laid down a naka at Dhar road near Challan (Ramkote) and intercepted one Scooter bearing Registration No JK-08A 2428 which was on its way from Challan to Billawar.
During search 1800 grams of Poppy Straw contained in two Polythene bags was recovered from the possession of two persons identified as Zahoor Ahmed son of Abdul Hussain of Dewal Billawar and Dilbag Singh son of Baldev Singh of Katli Tehsil Hiranagar.
A Case FIR No 127/2011 under section 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Billawar against the arrested accused.
