APSEWF accuses JKTDC director of harassment | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 27: All Public Sector Employees and Workers Federation (APSEWF), has accused Managing Director, Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) for harassing the employees. Addressing a press conference, Joginder Pal, chairman of the federation alleged victimization of employees by the management and said that he has a habit to use unparliamentarily language with the employees besides misusing his power.
Pal said that employees are part and parcel of the department and if they will be harassed and abused by head of the department, it will affect the overall functioning of the department.
The employees appealed the Minister for Tourism to take cognizance into the matter. He however mentioned, the employees were waiting for the reply of the MD as per order of Chief Minister’s secretariat, after that they will decide their future course of action.
He said that there is great resentment among the employees against the present management and if no steps are taken to streamline the system, they would be forced to start agitation.
Federation has appealed the employees to stay united so that they can fight against the dictatorial attitude of the management. “We are not living in colonial ear, but in a democratic set up and we don’t expect such an attitude from the management of the such a prestigious department”, federation has said.
