| Horticulture Deptt organizes interactive session with orchardists | | |

An interaction program of the orchardists of Jammu district, who returned after a week- long study tour outside the State, was organized by the Department of Horticulture here today.
The orchardists were very enthusiastic while narrating the details about their experience and knowledge gained during the study tour. During the tour they interacted with the scientists, experts and progressive orchardists and took interest in observing a mango tree top worked with more than three hundred varieties of mango and had an opportunity to see the original mother plant of Dashehri Mango.
Director Horticulture in his interaction with the orchardists urged them to take maximum benefits from such type of study tours and advised their to share their experiences with other farmers of their respective areas so that they too are benefited from the latest techniques.
Maj Gen (Retd) J S Jamwal President AWARE was also present on the occasion.
