Choudhary resigns as NSUI state president | State body dissolved, membership drive starts from Oct 9 | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 28:-In a significant development, today NSUI state president Dr Rashid Choudhary resigned from the post of state presidentship, as he is going to fight the coming Youth Congress election. Dr. Rashid revealed to the media that it was dream to organise a programme of Rahul Gandhi for the student community of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that since my dream has come true, it is time to move ahead and make way for the others. “I tendered my resignation for the good of my organisation and myself. I always wanted a graceful exit and thank God I got it,” Choudhary said Shahnawaz Sheikh National General Secretary, Incharge NSUI J&K revealed to the media that resignation of Dr Rashid Choudhary has been accepted and NSUI state body is here by dissolved with immediate effect. Also all the NSUI units of Universities, Colleges, Districts and blocks shall cease to function and are also dissolved. Shahnawaz Sheikh described the tenure of Dr. Rashid’s presidentship as the golden period in the history of NSUI Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Dr. Rashid was one of the best NSUI presidents at national level and his contribution to the organisation is tremendous and would always be remembered. Sheikh further told the media that NSUI is going to start the membership drive after the youth congress membership drive is over on October, 8. He said that NSUI membership shall be open from October 9, for period of one and a half month for every student of 18 to 27 years of age.
