RBPS organises Hindi poetry recitation programme | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 28: The Jammu chapter of Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Smiti today organised a Hindi poetry recitation programme in collaboration with Oriental Academy in the premises of the said school. Dr Jitendra Udhmapuri, ex-director of Radio Kashmir, Jammu was the chief guest while V P Chowhan, the principal of Oriental Academy presided over the function. In all 12 students of the Academy took part in the competition in which Dipti stood first. Rudrakshi and Pritika were adjudged second and third respectively while consolation prize was bagged by Prerna Kumari. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Udhampuri while highlighting the importance of Hindi as a link language of the country, stressed upon the students to study Hindi with devotion. Addressing the gathering Didar Singh, president of the Smiti said that Hindi script is so scientific that it is helpful at all levels. While in his address, V P Chowhan praised Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti’s activities and requested the organisation to organise more such programmes in Oriental Academy. Earlier, Organiser of the Smiti, Dr Satya Pal Shrivatsa gave a brief introduction of the organisation.
