| NIA team back in Kishtwar to probe Delhi blast | | HM under scanner | | Asif Iqbal Naik
KISHTWAR, Sept 28: National Investigating Agency (NIA) investigating the terror email link to Kishtwar claiming responsibility of Delhi High Court blast on 7-09-2011 is back in Kishtwar to probe Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) connection to the blast that left several people dead.
Members of NIA team along with Chief Prosecuting Officer Kishtwar today sought permission of the Additional District Magistrate Kishtwar for questioning Azhar Ali Butt (29 years) Son of Ghulam Mohammad Butt resident of Kijae Padder Kishtwar presently lodged in Kot Balwal Jail Jammu under Public Safety Act.
ADM Kishtwar R K Shavan after listening the plea of NIA team headed by Dy. SP Rank officer allowed the NIA team to question Azhar Ali after the NIA team officially applied for the same. The sources said that ADM Kishtwar gave its permission for questioning of the accused for 3 hour for two days with the direction that the jail inmate Azhar Ali be medically examined before any questioning, besides only Investigating officer has been allowed to quiz the detainee.
Under prison and jail manual act, ADM is the custodian of the jail inmates and can authorize any person or persons to visit the jail and talk to any jail inmate logged in jail.
Azhar Ali was arrested by Kishtwar police on 10-11-2010 along with Irshad Ahmed son of Ghulam Mustafa Akhoon resident of Lidri, Dacchan (Marwah) for working as a recruiter of Hizbul Mujahdeen militant outfit. He is accused of recruiting a 10th class student Junaid Akram Malik (17 yrs) son of Reyazul Hasan Malik resident Sangrambhatta Kishtwar.
After getting bail from Kishtwar court, he was than booked under PSA on 14-05-2011.Azhar was working with Skyline Communications Kishtwar as field distributor for SIMs of Airtel. Even though the Sky Communication later closed its business, but police till date have not issued any order pertaining to re-verification of SIM cards cleared by Azhar Ali as field distributor as well as verifier. He is said to be the close friend of Amir Hussain Kamal @Akram an active HM militant operating in Dachhan and Marwah area of Kishtwar District under the control and command of HM Supreme Commander Jahinghir Saroori. The sources said that the NIA team is presently investigating any possible link of HM militant outfit in Delhi blast.
It is wort mentioning that two youths from Kishtwar Abid Hussain and Amir Abbas were in custody of NIA at Delhi. Family members of Amir Abbas said that he (Amir) is suffering from mental epilepsy (Fitts), where as Abid's family claims that he is a minor and suffers from mental trauma after the death of his mother. |
