Legislators raise important issues during Zero hour | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Sep 29: While responding to queries of Aijaz Jan and Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan during Zero Hour in the legislative assembly today, Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma said that government has already decided to install CT scan machines in all the district hospitals in a phased manner. Government has prioritized Poonch and Kishtwar districts and machines will be installed during the current year. Funds for the purpose have been earmarked. Radiologists will also be appointed simultaneously for both the districts. Several other members also raised issues of public importance during zero hour. Bharat Bushan demanded uninterrupted power supply in Jammu during Navratra days. Choudhary Zulfiqar Ali demanded execution of PMGSY roads in Darhal constituency. Nizam-ud-Din Bhat demanded completion of Kaloosa Bridge in Sopore-Bandipora road. Nazir Gurezi demanded deployment of doctors in Gurez during winter months. Balwant Singh Mankotia pleaded for rationalization of land compensation rates in the state. Abdul Haq Lolabi demanded revocation of government order appointing 38 class-IV employees of other districts in Kupwara. Mir Zahoor demanded repairs of dug well of newly constructed water supply scheme Batapora-Ladu be taken up at the earliest so that the people of the area would get safe drinking water facility by the scheme. Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta demanded bifurcation of ration cards in Jammu city to rationalize CAPD ration supply. He also demanded un-interrupted power supply in Jammu city during Navratra. Mir Saifullah demanded relief for farmers whose crops were damaged due to torrential rain and hailstorm in Kupwara district. Rafi Ahmad Mir sought Degree College for Pahalgam and Wachi areas. Lal Chand sought inquiry into the circumstances that led shifting of bridge from his Constituency to Billawar area. He demanded immediate relocation of bridge to the area for which it was sanctioned. Abdul Rehman Veeri called for setting a foolproof mechanism for fixing rates for carriage of fruits from Valley to different destinations. Ashok Khajuria drew the attention of the House towards the plight of the Civil Defence candidates who are on Dharna for the past some years at Mubarak Mandi, Jammu. He urged the govt. to look into their demands and address them at the earliest. Syed Bashir Ahmand sought shifting of wine shop from Batwara. Syed Basharat Bukhari demanded Degree College in Sangrama. Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat demanded implementation of Urban Housing Scheme within the MC limit of R.S.Pura. Durga Dass sought immediate release of funds for completion of two tube wells in Hira Nagar. Mohammad Ashraf Ganai demanded expeditious construction of bus stand at Sopore. Bimla Luthra called for renovation of toilets at SMGS hospital. She also urged for waiving off of registration fee for patients. Dr. Shafi Ahmad Wani demanded electrification of uncovered areas of Beerwah constituency. Mushtaq Shah demanded augmentation and repair of power stations in Tral area.
