JKAEA reiterates demand for IAS officer as organisational head | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 29:J&K Accounts Employees Association has reiterated its demand for posting an IAS Officer as Head of the Accounts & Treasuries Organization and early reinstatement of the suspended Accounts Officer. In a press statement issued here today, the President of the Association JS Charak justified his demand of an IAS Officer due to the prevailing mess in the department and appealed the members of the service to remain vigilant from the nefarious designs of few vested interests in the cadre who are issuing fabricating statements to appease the authorities at the cost of just and genuine demands. The statement asserted to vehemently plead for strict implementation of SRO 210 dated:-October 5, 1994 and allow the benefit in the ratio of 1:1 at all levels of organizational hierarchy. The statement further urged for fulfilment of the demands affecting the Accounts fraternity which included removal of disparity in the grade pay of Assistant Accounts Officers which had principally been agreed by the Pay anomaly Committee, regularization of Accounts personnel promoted in own pay grade, declaration of services as permanent, qausi-permanent, clearance of pending cases under SRO-43, creation of posts in Forest Division, Police and other departments, promotion of Class IVth employees as Cashiers, creation of promotion avenues for Data Entry Operators, Assistant Programmes, conducting of refresher courses for Accounts personnel, updating of Accounts manual and other Code books, removal of time barrier for appearing in departmental examination, declaration of accounts service as technical and completion of Finance Complex at Muthi, Jammu.
