NPSU protests delay in re-evaluation results of part-II

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 29:National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) along with the students of MAM PG College, Jammu today held a protest demonstration against Jammu University (JU) authorities for delay in re-evaluation results of BA, BSc and B Com Part-II.
Led by student leader Lucky Singh, a large number of students gathered at MAM college gate and raised slogans against JU. They criticized the JU for delay in Re-evaluation results of BA, B.Com, BBA, BSc and BCA part-II.
When the students tried to burn the effigy of VC, JU, the police forcefully dispersed the students and tried to suppress the voice of students.
In protest against the police action, the students of Govt Polytechnic College, Bikram Chowk, Jammu boycotted their classes and gathered at main gate. Students strongly condemned the action of police and raised slogans against police and JU administration.
Due to the angry protest of the students, a large contingent of police reached the spot and tried to tackle in the same way as they did in the MAM.PG College. While protesting one NPSU leader was forcibly tried to arrest from the spot but sensing the anger of the student community, they had to release him.
Addressing the students, Atul Suddan (Provincial Secy. NPSU) alleged that JU is non- serious towards the student community adding that it is playing with the career of large number of students. He said that the results of the students are not declared at the proper time.
He demanded JU took serious note and should immediately declare the results at the earliest otherwise NPSU will be forced to launch an agitation against JU.
