Sharma writes to PM, demands redressel of complaint | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 29:President PHE Employees Welfare Association Om Parkash Sharma in a letter to the Prime Minister has regretted that no action was initiated against former Labour Commissioner despite a complaint lodged by him with the state government. Sharma said that his complaint against the former Labour Commissioner Charanjit Singh was forwarded by this office to the Chief Secretary, J&K under No 25/3/2011¬PMP4/3112512 dated 01.08.2011, but no action has been taken so far. He prayed the Prime Minister to intervene in the matter and get the matter investigated and action against the culprits may be taken. He further urged that matter may kindly be investigated through some suitable agency, preferably by CBI, so that the confidence is built in the minds of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and they may find that the steps are being adequately taken by the Government to eradicate corruption. He opined that had the Jan Lok Pal Bill been introduced in "this state the corruption could be eradicated to some extent and therefore passing of the said bill is very essential in the state of J&K. Sharma further said that in case no action is taken in the matter, he will once again sit on Amran Anshan (fast unto death) against no action by the Government to eradicate corruption. He said last time he sat on Amran Anshan for 12 days, but this time he will not stop even after a month.
