JAMMU, Sept 29: The Quiz and Photography competitions were organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu under the ongoing Inter-Collegiate/Departmental “Display Your Talent” 2011-12.
In Quiz (Preliminary) The Department of Mathematics, The Law School, University of Jammu, Govt. MAM College & GGM Science College qualified for the final round in Quiz.
There was a tie for the fifth position between the teams of Department of Political Science, Department of Law, University of Jammu and Govt. for Engineering and Technology, Jammu. Rapid Fire round shell be held tomorrow for the fifth position to qualify in Finals. Dr. Anil Gupta, was the Teacher Incharge for the Quiz (Preliminary) event.
In Photography Event, Jasneet Kour from Govt. Women College, Parade bagged the First Prize while Arjun Manhas, The School of Bio-Technology and Vaibhav Sharma, The Department of Law, University of Jammu were awarded the Second prize. The Third prize went to Babar Ahmed from Govt. Degree College, Doda.
Pardeep Singh and Vaneeka Gupta both from Institute of Music & Fine Arts, Ishan Raina from Trikuta College of Computer Science and Management Studies and Sunny Nazar from Government College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu were awarded with Certificates of Merit.
It is a first time ever that Photography event was held at Zoological Park, Department of Zoology, University of Jammu, Jammu.
Chander Sunder, Jogesh Manhas, were the experts for the Photography Competition whereas Dr. Sanjay Bhatia, was the Teacher Incharge.
Dr. Shailendra Singh, Associate Dean (SW) distributed the participation certificates amongst the participants.
