World Jr and Cadet Karate C’ship | KCian Sahil to represent India | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 29:-KC Public School Youngsters have made a mark at national and international levels in sports in the recent past. And to add to the list of students bringing laurel to the school is Sahil Singh, a 9th class student of KC Public School, has already represented India at the Asian Games held in China this year in Karate-Do martial art. This time he has been selected by the All India Karate-Do Federation to represent India at the 7th World Junior and Cadet Karate Championship. The 2nd Under-21 World Cup is going to be held at Melaka, Malaysia from October 13 to 16. He is going to take part in the Cadet Boys' Individual Kurnite event in the +70 Kg category. Simran Arya, an 8th class student, has made a mark in Fencing. In September 2010, she participated in the 12th Sub-Junior and 7th Cadet National Fencing Championships held at Nashik, Maharashtra and won the 8th rank in the Sabre Girls' Individual Cadet Category. In February this year, she underwent one month's intensive training organized by the Sports Authority of India at the National Institute of Sports, Patiala. The training refined her skills considerably as a result of which, she bagged the Bronze Medal in the Sub Junior Girls' Individual Sabre event at the 13th Sub-Junior and 8th Cadet National Fencing Championships held at Kolkata from September 5 to 8.
