9/30/2011 12:39:38 AM
Early Times Report
Srinagar, Sept 29: Independent MLA from north Kashmir's Langate constituency Engineer Abdul Rasheed whose resolution seeking clemency for Afzal Guru was stalled yesterday, held a protest rally alongwith his supporters outside the Assembly complex on Thursday.
Early in the morning when Rasheed alongwith his party activists tried to force their entry into Assembly complex, police used force to disperse them. In the police action Rasheed and some of his associates received minor injuries.
Rasheed was immediately shifted to Bone and Joints hospital where he was treated under MRD no R-0013599. He was referred to SMHS hospital from where he was admitted under MRD ticket number 103707.
Talking to KNS Rasheed termed police action 'unjustified and an act of state terrorism.
"Dozens of my supporters were injured in the police action and they are being treated in different hospital," he said.
Rasheed accused all mainstream political parties of being hand-in-glove to "sabotage" the resolution.
