| Pak-origin Lashkar militant arrested in Kashmir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR : A Pakistani militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba was arrested near the Line of Control in Machil sector, a defence ministry spokesman said today.
He said acting on a tip-off, Army arrested militant Nissar Ahmad, resident of Karachi, Pakistan, near LoC in Machil sector.
The militant surrendered when challenged by the troops. A large number of arms and ammunition were recovered from him.
This is for the first time a Pak resident militant was arrested by the troops this year.
A massive search has been launched to nab his other associates who could be hiding in the woods, the spokesman said.
Last month, 12 militants were killed when they tried to cross over to this side after crossing the Kishan Gaga river on a boat
