| Police nabs Rapist, minor Girl Recovered | | |
Handwara, Dec 07 Police today recovered a minor girl who was allegedly abducted from Hajan, Sopore in Baramulla district of North Kashmir on November 27.The kidnaper of the girl was also arrested during the raid.
Sources told News Agency of Kashmir that a Matric student namely Kulsoma D/O Sonuallah Rather of Shadipora Drugmulla was allegedly kidnapped when she was on way to her Maternal uncles residence at Hajan Sopore on November 27.
After knowing that girl has reached to the material’s house, the father of the girl lodged a written report with police Station Kral Pora on December 01 after the father and uncle of the girl suspected hand of one Bashir Ahmad Ganai Son of Jabar Ganai in the disappearance of the girl. The police registered a case vide FIR NO 100 of 2006 under section 363 RPC and started investigation in the case.
Sources said that the police raided about dozen of places including the residence of Bashir Ganai who the parents of the minor suspect to be the kidnapper and detained four persons for questioning.
Today, sources said on specific information Police team led by the Investigation officer recovered the girl from a house at Hajan along with the accused..
“The accused Bashir Ahmad was immediately taken into the custody, while the girl was send for medical examination wherein it was established that the girl was abused sources added.
