| Lok Adalat held in District Court Copmlex | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Sep 30:A Lok Adalat was held in the District Court Complex here today under
the chairmanship of AK Sharma, Chairman, District Legal Services
Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Kathua.
The Adalat was consisted of two benches. The bench no. 1 presided over
by A.K. Sharma, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr.
District & Sessions Judge) Kathua and assisted by Puneet Gupta, Addl.
District & Sessions Judge Kathua. The bench no. 2 was comprised of
S.C. Katal, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kathua and Y.P. Sharma District
Mobile Magistrate Kathua.
The bench no. 1 took MACT, Civil, Criminal Revision under section 488
Cr P.C, Bank Cases and Hindu Marriage Act cases. 15 cases were taken
up out of which 8 cases were decided and award money or Rs 7,14,000
was ordered to be paid to the claimants. The bench no 2 decided 2
criminal cases, petty and compoundable cases. The total 10 cases were
disposed off. The next Lok adalat scheduled to be held on October 28.
