NSF alleges financial irregularities, illegal appointments in JU | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 30: National Secular Forum (NSF) held a protest demonstration against favoritism, financial irregularities, and illegal appointments in Jammu University, here today. Briefing to the media persons, NSF district chairman Surjit Choudhary said that the maximum number of illegal appointments of Contractual lectures, Clerks and positions in JU influenced by politically leaders. He alleged that due to politically influence JU has not advertised Clerks, IV Class and some others posts and even did not conducted their interview and also violated merit while recruitment.
In his address Chairman University Unit Shafqat Malik said that Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), Director is openly looting the students as Rs 5 crores are collected as admission fee. Besides, Rs 29 lakhs has been realized on account of Sports Fund, NSS and IQAC charges.
But, the students of DDE have no access to sports or NSS, then why they are being looted unnecessarily.
He disclosed that the complaint against the DDE Director Dr Meenakshi Kilam has been registered with the Vice Chancellor on number of times.
But, he has maintained stoic silence over the matter as both of them have hand in glove with each other which are shameful and unbearable.
