| IUST Awantipora gets UGC Recognition | | |

Adding another feather in the cap of Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora, UGC granted recognition to it. The University has been duly recognized and included in the list of Universities maintained by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 vide notification no. F.9-8/2006(CPP-I) dated 28-11-2006.
In a press release issued here today said that the recognition of the University by the University Grants Commission has sent a wave of joy among the faculty, administrative staff and students. Besides, felicitations from all over the valley and beyond are being received by the University as the efforts of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Registrar and the whole team of the University have borne fruit.
The MBA and MCA courses have already been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the recognition by the UGC has added another feather in the cap of the University.
The recognition of University shall enable the Islamic University of Science and Technology to seek assistance both financial as well as academic from the UGC and other organizations of the country. |
