ED Bank: First RRB of the State to Migrate to CBS | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, October 1: “Ellaquai Dehati Bank became the first RRB in the State of Jammu & Kashmir to migrate all its business units to Core Banking Solutions (CBS)”. This was disclosed by Shri A K Razdan Chairman of the Bank at a meeting held at its head office in Srinagar today. He said that it is a step forward in designing the banks policies for socio economic development of the state. Banks migration to CBS platform will go long way in catering to the banking needs of the customers more efficiently. “Now a customer of a remotest village can enjoy all the facilities of an urban commercial bank at his village through our business units” chairman said. “The cent percent financial inclusion programme of 35 villages with population of two thousand or more allotted to our bank will receive a flip with the migration of banking operations to CBS”. He said that the Government of India and sponsor bank State Bank of India had set a deadline of 30th September 2011 for the process and the same was completed on September 28, 2 days ahead of the scheduled time. He said that achievement of the feat was possible with the whole hearted support received from the staff who worked as a cohesive team. He also thanked Government of India, Reserve Bank of India, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, State Bank of India , the sponsor bank and the IT team of C-Edge, the services provider, for their helping hand, guidance and continued support.
