| Army organizes motivational tour for elders of J&K | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, October 1: The Army unit at Kalakote flagged off the motivational tour for 25elders of Reasi and Rajouri Districts in J&K under Operation Sadbhavana. The 15 days long tour will be travelling to Mount Abu, Udaipur, Ajmer, and Jaipur .
The flagging off ceremony was graced by the presence of civil administration officials of Kalakote, sarpanches and panches of the Tehsil, besides a number of prominent citizens.
The tour will be visiting places of tourist interest as well as historical importance. Besides the people of the remote area will also get a chance to pay obeisance at the Dargha of Ajmer Sharief.
The participants in the tour will also get a chance to meet prominent personalities in the area they are visiting including senior officers of the army, civil administration, and ministers.
The Commander Budhal Sector flagged off the tour. In his address he exhorted the tour members to feel the unity in diversity of the Nation and take lessons from other developed parts of the country which can be implemented in the far flung areas to improve quality of life of the citizens.
The tour is aimed to be showcasing the rich and diverse culture of the country to the Elders as also to increase awareness about the development that has taken place in other parts of the country.
All the guests present for the flagging off highly appreciated the effort to the Army to broaden the horizon of thoughts of elders in these backward areas by conduct of such motivational tours.
