Better services to people govt’s prime concern: Sham | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, OCTOBER 01- Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma said that government’s priority is to ensure best education and healthcare services to the people for which numerous reformative steps are being taken up at all levels. This was stated by the Minister after presenting awards to the meritorious students of Government and Private institutions of Block Akhnoor organized by Rotary Club Akhnoor. He was chief guest on the occasion. The Minister lauded the role of Rotary Club Akhnoor in organizing such function and congratulated parents, teachers and awardee students. He also made a stress on the society in general and teaching community in particular to work with zeal and zest to raise the standard of education. He stressed the need to promote quality education through continuous efforts, conviction and commitment through developing multi-dimensional personality of students by providing an opportunity to participate in cultural, co-curricular, literary and sports activities. He also directed the teacher fraternity to help the students to explore the world of work and to understand the realities of life in order to prepare them to compete the world outside the educational institutions. The students of various schools of block Akhnoor who scored first position in matriculation examination were awarded by the chief guest. President Rtn. Anoop Gupta, Secretary, Rtn. Sachin Gupta, SDPO Akhnoor, BMO, other sectoral officers, parents and students of various institutions of the areas also present on the occasion. Earlier, the students presented song and skit on the occasion.
