Azhar Ali provided vital clues, NIA claims | Delhi HC blast investigation | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Kishtwar, Oct 2 : National Investigating Agency (NIA) believes that tips provided by Kortbalwal Jail inmate Azhar Ali will go a long way in identifying the September 7 Delhi High Court blast which left several people dead. Ali was questioned by a team of NIA headed by SP Ajeet Singh Salaria for two days. He is believed to have identified a few persons to whom he gave SIM cards on fake documents. The NIA, sources said is likely to seek the help of local intelligentsia to identify the culprits. This is the first time NIA will seek the help of the local intelligentsia since most of the investigation into ongoing terror probe has been kept a secret. The sources said that NIA is verifying the authenticity of the names disclosed by Azhar Ali during his questioning. The sources said that in case the culprit's names were found as proxy names, the agency will seek the help of sketch expert to form the sketches of the culprits for which they once again need to approach the court of DM/ADM Kishtwar for taking permission for further questioning of Azhar Ali or the NIA will apply for the transit remand of Azhar Ali. The sources said that NIA team is also looking for the person who seeks the help of teenager Abid Hussain to send the email. However earlier it was believed that Amir Abbas have provided the drafted material to Abid Hussain. The sources reframe themselves to divulge any details as far as role of Amir Abbas in Delhi blast case is considered presently under Custody of NIA along with teenager Abid Hussain. The sources said that information given by Azhar Ali is vital clue for ongoing probe as it will help to identify the culprit involved behind sending the email as the email account was created through mobile number which is registered on fake documents. As according to the family members of teenagers Abid Hussain has no mobile connection, where as NIA have already scrutinized the call details of mobile number used by another accused Amir Abbas which is registered on valid documents with genuine address. The sources said that side by side, the NIA also plan to approach the honorable court for seeking permission to conduct the brain mapping/live detective test of both the accused, since Amir Abbas has reportedly given contradictory statements. The sources said that NIA is hopeful that they will give a decisive lead in ongoing investigation within next few days if the information given by the HM recruiter proved to be genuine. It is worth mentioning that NIA has zeroed on over some SIM cards possibly used by the militants for coordination purpose at the time of carrying out the blast. It is also been said that all those SIM cards were issued by Azhar Ali at the time when he was working as field distributor cum SIM verifier with "Sky Communication", franchise of Airtel mobile service provider at Kishtwar. Meanwhile police have detained Fatesh Mohamamd alias chacha of 60 years and resident of Daschhan Kishtwar . |
