| Panchs, Sarpanchs constitute body | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
THATHRI, Oct 2: The newly elected Sarpanches of Thathri Block of Doda district have constituted a body under the name Sarpanches Association Block Thathri (SABT), here today.
Those elected as office bearers of the Association are, Sarpanch Malanoo-Basher Ahmed Sarwal as Convenor; Dhooni Chand Bhagat (ZEO (Retd)-Sarpanch Thelella as Advisor, Haji Hashim Din-Sapranch Bathri as Organiser; Shamin Ahmed Butt-Sapranch Phagsoo as Chairman; Abdul Rehman Kashmiri-Sarpanch Nandna as Vice Chairman; Girdhari Lal- Sarpanch Bhella as Vice Charman; Head Master (Retd) Fazal Alam Wani-Sarpanch Chairalla as General Secretary with additional charge of Publicity Secretary.
Vimal Singh Manhas Sarpanch Kandote has been elected as Sectary while Rakesh Charak-Sarpanch Sunarthawa and Hari Ram Bhagat Sarpanch Sharote have been elected as joint secretary and Cashier respectively.
Sarpanches Association Block Thathri has unanimously decided to launch fight in democratic way for the development of entire block.Besides other demands and issues of this backward and neglected block, the association pledged to launch the struggle to wipe-out the step motherly treatment with Thathri block and its people.
They demands that Thathri should be given Sub Division status and a Sub District Magistrate (SDM) should be made available there so the people do not face problems in getting their related issues address.
