Muzafar Shah demands sacking of Omar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Oct 2 (KNS): Demanding exhumation of body of senior National Conference worker Sayeed Mohammad Yousuf, who allegedly died in the Crime Branch custody, senior vice president of Awami National Conference, Muzaffar Shah Sunday asked Omar Abdullah to step down as Chief Minister. “The body of Yousuf should be exhumed as reportedly he had been hit by a pistol on head. Mobile phones of CM, Nasir Sogami, Salam Rishi, Yosuf Bhat and CM’s security personnel should be seized and call details checked to probe the matter,” Shah told KNS. Demanding sacking of Omar, the ANC leader alleged, “Coalition government has totally failed to protect the loves and honour of the people of the state and is mired in corruption from head toe. In cold blooded murder of Yosuf CM. and MoS Home seem apparently involved in abetment of crime.” He also demanded immediate arrest of Bhat and Rishi. “What is preventing government from arresting Bhat and Rishi who had confessed to their involvement in the cash for MLC/ministerial berth scam?” he asked. Commenting on silence of Congress over the issue, Shah said, “The credibility of the Congress is taking a beating which they will realize when coming face with the people of the state in coming times.”
