Army ‘On the Job’ training for youth of Kashmir | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 2: Chinar Corps in its endeavour to channelise resourceful energy of the youth in a constructive manner held a vocational training course on welding for unemployed youth of the Valley. These projects give opportunities to young section of the society to set up their own small business for earning livelihood leading to a better financial status of the general Awam. The training course on welding was conducted with the collaboration Chinar Engineers and Kashmir Polytechnic College, Srinagar for duration of four weeks from September 5, 11 to October 01, 2011. Course was conducted for 30 unemployed youths from Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian, Ganderbal and Anantnag Districts of South Kashmir Valley having a minimum educational qualification as Matric pass. Course was conducted under the aegis and guidance of qualified tradesmen of the unit as well as instructors from Kashmir Polytechnic College in a well equipped workshop of the Chinar Engineers. On October 2011, each candidate was given qualifying certificates duly endorsed by Kashmir Government Polytechnic Collage, Srinagar as well as Chinar Corps by Chief of Staff of Chinar Corps, Maj Gen Virendra Kumar and Brigadier Navin Ahuja. This qualification would help the candidates in future course of employment to set up individual business, provide job opportunities with various companies as well as employment with Government and private agencies. |
