UPMA holds district level meeting, criticises state govt | | | Early Times Report DODA, Oct 2: Unemployed Para-medical Association (UPMA) strongly criticized the State Government and particularly the Health Minister and Director NRHM for not fulfilling the demands of Unemployed Male Multipurpose Health Worker (MMPHW) and Pharmacist diploma holders. In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that a district level general meeting was held at Doda. The meeting was chaired by its Vice-President Javed Iqbal Sheikh. He said that Health Minster had assured them last year that, MMHPW and Pharmacist diploma holders should be adjusted in NRHM scheme but these promises remained a distant dream for the unemployed diploma holders. General Secretary of the Association, Nadeem Sirwal also criticized the state government. UPMA made an appeal to Chief Minister J&K, Health Minister and Director NRHM to look in to the matter and redress the demand of these diploma holders within a 15 days time. Those present in the meeting included Secretary UPMA Parshotam Singh, Convenor Asif Iqbal Banday, Cashier Sindoor Singh, Nayar Tak, Zia-ul-Hassan Natnoo, Sajid Kelam, Rayeis, Sartaj Ahmed, Shabir Ahmed, Amjad Ahmed, Bhupinder Rana and Tabreez Khan.
