JSM reiterates demand for separate state | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 2: Jammu State Morcha today organized a workers meeting of Bishnah constituency and reiterated demand for separate state. Workers from different villages falling in Bishnah Constituency participated in the meeting. While addressing the workers, President of Jammu State Morcha, Prof. Virender Gupta threw light on the developing political situation and asked them to get prepared for the struggle to achieve justice and honourable place. He said that the interlocutors, appointed by the Union Home-Ministry are going to submit their report on October 12, 2011. He warned that the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions who suffered all sort of neglect and discrimination at the hands of Kashmir leaders are once again going to be ignored. They are once again being forced to get dragged along with the wishes of the Valley, particularly the separatists. It is a time for the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions to rise to the occasion and say boldly and bluntly with all the force in their command to the union government to give Jammu region the status of a separate state. Prof. Gupta pleaded for the division of the state into four political units with Jammu region and Kashmir region having separate states, and granting union territory status to Ladakh and an area carved out of the Valley for the settlement of Kashmiri Pandits, Hindus, Kashmiri Sikhs and other minorities. Prof. Virender Gupta asked the workers to set up units of JSM in all the villages of Bisnah constituency and hold public meetings where the leaders of the State Morcha be invited to address. He said that need of the hour is to strengthen regional party, that Jammu State Morcha is. Others who addressed the gathering included Prof. Divender Sharma, Chandra Uday Sharma Varinder Mohan Magotra and Surjeet Singh. Prominent among others who were present in the meeting were: H.B. Khajuria, Nathu Ram Gupta, Varinder Magotra, Brig(Retd) Anil Gupta, Chandra Uday Sharma, Surjeet Singh, Prof. Davinder Sharma, Vikram Gaur, Rajinder Gupta, Ved Parkash Sharma,Sh Vijay Kumar, V.D.Dogra, Divender Singh Jamwal, Yash pal Gupta.
