KPs demand pilgrimage to Shardha Peeth in POK | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 2: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) today reiterated demand for allowing Hindu community of India to visit pilgrimage centres in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) which includes revered Sharda Peeth. In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that a meeting of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference was held under the chairmanship of its Senior Vice President R.K Raina. Conference raised demand for dialogue with Pakistan for facilitating visit to Shardha Peeth, probe into the multi-crore temple/shrine land encroachment in Valley, passage of pending temples bill in legislative assembly, compensation for over age migrant youth, special employment package for non-migrant Hindus of Kashmir valley and establishment of Shardha Peeth University. Addressing the meeting H.L Chatta said that government has totally failed to consider demands of KP organizations. The meeting decided to give full support to the chairman APMCC for getting all the points raised by him solved by the government. Concluding the meeting R.K Raina demanded to allowed Hindu Community of India to visit their pilgrim in POK like sharda peeth and other religious places there. He too assured full support of ASKPC to the Chairman APMCC for getting his above mention points resolved. |
