280 pouches of illicit liquor seized | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 2: Narwal police arrested three persons and seized 280 illicit liquor pouches from their possession. In charge police post Hilal Azhar giving information said that on a tip off that some persons were indulge in selling illicit liquor on the dry day, a police party conducted a raid in Narwal area and arrested them. They have been identified as Kulbeer Singh son of Amar Singh resident of Ajeet Nagar, Pappu son of Babu Ram of Rajiv Nagar and Sunil Kumar son of Dhani Ram of Rajiv Nagar. From their possession, police recovered 280 pouches of illicit liquor and 10 bottles of liquor. A case in this connection has been registered against them.Later during interrogation they told police that they were selling the liquor on the directions of one Dharam Pal son of Hari Ram of Narwal. Police soruces said that Dharam Pal is a history sheeter and escaped from the spot when the raid was conducted.A raid to arrest the absconder was in progress till late hours.
