Symposium /painting competition on wildlife preservation organized | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, October 3: Wild life week promoting preservation and conservation of wild life begins in Kishtwar District with Symposium/Painting. The competition was held inside the premises of forest office complex at Sarkoot Kishtwar. During week long program, wild life department will make general awareness among the people in different parts of District Kishtwar, which has more than 425 Sq miles catchment area among which the most area falls under Wild life centaury at Dachhan Marwah. More than 50 students from different schools and degree College Kishtwar participated both in symposium as well as in painting competition highlighting the importance of wild life for human being. The function which was attended by large number of peoples from different walks of life was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Hussain Malik. He stressed upon the educationist to nourish the talented students of Kishtwar District as according to Malik the students of Kishtwar have the capabilities for the betterment of the area. Abrar Kripak of Degree College Kishtwar got 1st position at Higher Secondary/college level symposium while Mamta Thakur, and Vipan lal stood 2nd & 3rd respectively. At junior level symposium, Mohammad Imtiyaz stood 1st, whereas Seishpal Singh and Mohammad Umar Irshad secured 2nd and 3rdposition. In painting competition Ashiya Thakur and Indresh Sharma of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir School stood 1st and 2nd respectively where as Jashia Rasool Butt Asrariya Valley Public School remain 3rd. SP Kishtwar Bhim Sen Tutti, Commandant CISF Hari Om Gandhi, DFO Wild Life Abdul Rashid Malik, CEO KDA Kishtwar Kishori Lal, ACD Kishtwar Abdul Latief, Chief Horticulture Officer Kishtwar, Chief Agriculture Officer Kishtwar, DFO Doda and others also attended the function.
