| 2 govt officials suspended for unauthorised absence | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 3:Surprise inspection of a number of Government offices and institutions was done in Nowshera and Sunderbani tehsils to check punctuality and attendance of officers/officials.
During inspection, one Medical Officer and a school teacher were found on unauthorized absence.
Team lead by Sub-divisional Magistrate, Nowshera, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, visited Government Schools at Thandapani, Bakhar, Lamberi, Siot and Dandani in both the tehsil. Public health Centers and Sub-Centers at Siot, Bal Shama and Dandani were also inspected.
At PHC Bal Shama, Medical Officer (Allopathic), Dr Jyoti Malhotra was found absent and fabricated leave application was also seized. No leave account was maintained in the PHC.
At Government School Danadani, Surinder Kumar Sharma, Teacher, was absent. Action as per J&K Civil Services Rules has been initiated against the absent doctor and teacher.
Strict directions have been passed to ensure that all employees adhere to office timings and do not leave the station / office without due sanctioned leave. Report of the all other absentees, where leave record was not maintained, has been forwarded to concerned Heads of departments.
