| BVP organises patriotic group song competition | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 3:Bharat Vikas Parishad Swami Vivekanand branch Gandhi Nagar organised national patriotic group song competition at Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School at Jeevan Nagar here today.
The programme was dived into two categories comprising Hindi and Sanskrit. The students from 12 schools participated in the programme.
Students sang patriotic songs on Indian music tunes. Danish Rana, DIG traffic Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Rameshwar Mengi, Managing director of Shiksha Niketan School & RM College of Education was the guest of honour while Dr D R Kotwal state president BVP presided over the function.
The programme started with traditional lightening of lamp and recitation of Vande Matram.
Dr Santosh Gupta Convenor yuva participation gave the welcome address. Chief Guest and other dignitaries appreciated the efforts of BVP to inculcate the spirit of nationalism and patriotism among the students and one youth they exhorted upon the students to work hard and use their positive energy for the betterment of the society and in national building process.
