Another legislator boycotts Kashmir Assembly session

SRINAGAR: Oct 3:-After legislator Er Rashid, another Member Legislative Assembly on Monday decided to boycott the ongoing Assembly session in Jammu and Kashmir citing that the House was being used for 'politicking'.

PDF Chairman and MLA Khansahab Hakim Mohammad Yaseen staged walkout in the House.

He also announced to boycott the Assembly proceedings, alleging that 'the House is used for politicking while important public issues for which it was primarily meant, were ignored'.

The legislator said: "People had lot of expectations with their representatives but un-fortunately their pressing concerns are not being redressed in the House due to power and party politics played in the House."

Yaseen's boycott is second such move in the short session of the House. Earlier, Er Rashid boycotted the the session stating that the bill seeking clemency to Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru 'was scuttled by the planners in New Delhi'
