| NASA astronaut interacts with KU students | | | EARLY TIMES REPO
Srinagar, Oct 3: Dr Mary Ellen Weber a NASA astronaut and a veteran of two Space Shuttle flights today interacted with the students of Kashmir University.
The recipient of the NASA exceptional Service Medal Dr Mary through a power point presentation narrated her experiences to students, scholars and faculty of the University. The event was organized by the Department of Students Welfare in collaboration with US embassy in New Delhi.
Dr Mary said that from space “we only see land and water on the earth it looks one with no boundaries and every astronaut comes back with a feeling as to how much damage we have done to our earth.”
She said that every astronaut knows the risks involved with traveling to space but is ready to take them to move see the civilization moving forward. Prof A M Shah Dean Academic Affairs presided the event while Registrar Prof Syed Fayaz was the guest on honour.
