2 narco-smugglers held with charas at Rajouri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 03: Two narco-smugglers were today apprehended by police at Palma in
Rajouri along with nearly one kilogram of charas. The seizure comes a day after police recovered 17 kg charas at Udhampur and 4 kg
at Shakti Nagar here. Police sources said two persons, who were on their way to Rajouri town on foot from
Kandi side, ignored police signal to stop for checking at Palma and tried to escape. The cops, however, foiled their attempt to flee and apprehended both of them. Their
search led them to the recovery of about 1 kg charas, the sources added. The accused were identified as Mohammad Taj, son of Mohammad Jameel, and
Mohammad Iqbal, son of Mohammad Bashir, both residents of Kandi. They had concealed the charas in their jackets. They were booked under NDPA Act.
