| Tickoo’s scientific paper gets national recognition | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 3: Scientific paper of Subject Matter Specialist, Ento-Agrostology from Agriculture Department R.K.TIKOO has been accepted by the Range Management Society of India for presentation in National Symposium on "Forage Resource and livestock for livelihood, Environment & Nutritional Security.
In an extensive study of Poonch District to explore and explain the forage resources used by Gujjars, Bakerwal and Pahari people to rear Livestock with inferior species of grasses with low carrying capacity which requires proper scientific management, stands detailed in this paper in terms of development strategy, rehabilitating of cultural wastelands fencing / closing of pastures There are about 179 scientists representing from different states of India, whose papers have also been accepted.
It is pertinent to mention here that, Tikoo an alumni of Banaras Hindu University, also a well known social & cultural activist has many papers to his credit, presented/published in the International and National seminars/publications.
