Five Govt Bills introduced in LA

SRINAGAR, Oct 3:As many as five Government Bills were introduced in the State Legislative Assembly today.
Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand introduced 3 Bills pertaining to the Housing and Urban Development Ministry. These included LA Bill No.22 of 2011 regarding amendment to Jammu and Kashmir Development Act 1970. The LA Bill No. 23 of 2011 seeking amendment to the Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Act, 2000 and the J&K Municipal corporations Act, 2000.
Another LA Bill No. 24 of 2011 seeking to provide for facilitation of inclusive growth and slum free cities lay down general principles applicable to slum free cities in all spheres of the Government and according property rights to slum dwellers.
Two Bills were introduced by the Finance Minister, Abdul Rahim Rather. These include LA Bill No. 20 of 2011 which seeks amendment to the Jammu and Kashmir Value Added Tax Act, 2005.
Another LA Bill No. 21 of 2011 aimed at amending J&K Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) Act, 2006 was also introduced in the House.
