| 1 Kg charas seized, 2 narcotic smugglers held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 3: Police arrested two narcotic smugglers during a naka checking near Palma in Rajouri district and seized about one Kilogram of Charas from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Mohd Taj son of Mohd Jameel and Mohd Iqbal son of Mohd Bashir both residents of Kandi of district Rajouri.
Reports said that police party headed by Dy SP Operation laid down a naka at Palma under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajouri and intercepted two persons coming from Kandi towards Rajouri by foot, however, they ignored the signal and tried to escape from the clutches of Police.
Police swung into action and overpowered them and during frisking about one Kg of Charas (9.70 grams) concealed in their jackets was recovered from the possession of these narcotic smugglers.
Both the accused were arrested and case under section 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered against these narcotic smugglers in Police Station, Rajouri .
