JKMS organises cultural extravaganza | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 3: Keeping with the tradition of the School, JKMS in collaboration with Brainwork's organized a 'Cultural Extravaganza' as grandparent's day to honour pillars of the family who help to imbibe values and cultural ethos in children. It was indeed a memorable occasion when children shared their profuse love and admiration for their grandparents. Proud grandparents had tears of joy welling up in their eyes as the little children songs "Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Man Jao" and" Nani Tere Morni ko Mor Le Gaye" other cultural items including recitation of poems and songs were also presented by kids in the honour of their grandparents. Chief guest on the occasion was Leela Karan Sharma, Retd. Senior advocate while the guest of honour was Prof. Satish Anand chairman of the school, Sanjeev Gupta Managing Director and Rajni Gupta Director Academics presided over the function. He lauded role of management for organizing such functions. In this address, Prof. Satish Anand said that this kind of programmes would help in strengthening bond between family members describing significance of elders as the unifying link in the family. Managing director Sanjeev Gupta promised that school will take initiatives from time to time in order to organize such like programmes to revive old family values and bonding, lost due to rush and competition of the present age.
