Death of NC worker | JKNPP urges Guv to dissolve Assembly, seeks CBI inquiry | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 3: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has urged Governor N.N.Vohra to exercise his powers under section 92 of constitution of J&K and dissolve the Assembly. JKNPP chief said that J&K has been engulfed in anarchy due to the breakdown in the constitutional machinery in the state. Assembly has failed to function as the state government headed by NC Chief Minister has been reduced to minority, added Singh. The alleged murder of NC leader Yousuf Haji deserves full attention of the Governor who is the constitutional head of the state, said Vohra. He maintained that Yousuf’s custodial death is connected Chief Minister and therefore he cannot be allowed to continue in office. Moreover, the Chief Justice of J&K has rightly refused to spare a sitting High Court Judge to enquire into the circumstances leading to the alleged murder of Yousuf Haji. It is only CBI which can dig out the truth and bring real culprits to justice. The enquiry can only be free and fair if the present Chief Minister is taken out of his office, added Singh. He directed JKNPP activists to stage peaceful and democratic protests all over the state seeking dismissal of NC-Congress government and imposition of Governor Rule.
