ASKPC alleges irregularities in PM’s package | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 4:All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) has expressed displeasure over the policy of implementation of the prime minister’s package In an executive body meeting of ASKPC held under the chairmanship of RK Raina, Sr. vice president of the organization, the members alleged that in certain cases 2-3 persons of the family have been taken into government service while some families have been totally ignored as if the package was meant only for the selected members. Addressing the meeting Ravi Raina said that migration has affected all and not the selected few. So while considering the new lot the government should not ignore the deserving candidates and favour others. D N Kussu the non-camp president said that migration has spoiled the culture and religious festivals of great importance have gone into obvious so a compact and secured rehabilitation with all constitutional and institutional guarantees be made to over come all our institutional guarantees be made to over come all our woes. The demand has been made over and over again to avoid one more exhodus which will not take if done in a haphazered manner. Subash Chatta, an activist of the organization while expressing his view said that those educated youths who have crossed 40 years of age should be given a lumpsum amount of Rs 25 lakhs to establish himself and those who have sold their properties and secured loans from the banks to construct some hemlets should be given an amount of Rs. 10 lakhs as subsidy aid to meet their bank loans and interest.
