AMCCC condemns MLA for questioning Jagti allotments | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 4:All Migrants Camps Coordination Committee (AMCCC) has condemned the statement of Saifullah Mir, MLA Kupwara, who recently raised a question in State Assembly that allotment in Jagti was done on district basis. All those people from all districts who were living in camps were allotted flats at Jagti after verification. Some bifurcated families also were allotted because bifurcation was done by Govt. Every KP is one and there is no talk of division on district level or area level. AMCCC flayed the statement of MLA and said he should have raised the question of encroachment of land, orchids, land of shrines and temples in valley. There are 80,000 thousand families of KPs who have no govt employee in their families and shortage of power supply in Jagti were the main issues but they were not touched by the said MLA in assembly. Three thousand KPs were short dead by militants in valley in early 1989-90 but unfortunately our govt has never touched such families, our thousands of Kanal of land either was given to Bus Stands, Fruit Mandis, Municipalities for shopping complexes and some land was given to tourist department but no MLA since 1989 upto this time have never raised such important questions in our assembly. AMCCC leaders R L Sharma and Ajay Bharti requested Revenue Minister to provide better facilities of power and water supply to Jagti township.
