| Farmer field school concluded at Changia, Treva | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 4:A Farmer Field School was organised by the Deptt of Agriculture at the border villages Changia/Treva of Zone Arnia Sub Division RS Pura.
A large number of farmers participated and took knowledge about the latest technologies, schemes of the deptt. Arun Dubey Jr Agri. Ext. Officer Changia and Surinder Kumar Junior Agriculture Ext. Officer Treva organised the camp in which sessions according to the condition of paddy crop were organised and farmers were provided the knowledge by how they can increase and improve the crop.
At the concluding ceremony farmers put many problems regarding their crops.
The officials present there patiently listen to their demands regarding timely supply of seed, supply of inputs, Kissan credit cards and many more and assured them that the Department will left no stone unturned to improve the conditions of farmers.
Prominently who were present on the occasion were Sarpanch Raghubir Singh,Panch Tilak Raj, Sat Pal, Panch Dalip Kumar, Panch Charan Dass, Panch Kamal Kumar, Mohinder Singh, Rattan Lal.
Raghubir Singh in his address highly lauded the efforts of the field functionaries and requested the deptt to provide timely and sufficient supply of wheat seed at maximum subsidy to the border farmers as they suffered a lot due to hail storm and yellow rust.
Department also provided spray pump at Panchayat level to the people on their demand.
