Police arrested an agent here today who fraudulently took Rs 2400 from a truck driver with the assurance that his loaded truck will be allowed to pass check post without any check here today.
As per reports the accused (agent) Kuldeep Singh son of Balbir Singh of Dilwa, Lakhanpur approached the driver Jaswant Singh son of Mohinder Singh r/o Haryana and demanded Rs 2400 to get his vehicle through at Tod check post. After getting the money the agent fled away. The driver approached the police and narrated which episode. The police immediately swing into action and arrested the agent. A case u/s 420/468/467 RPC under FIR no 99/2006 was registered against the culprit.
