| ABVP clean sweeps GGM. Science College elections | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 4:ABVP made a clean sweep by winning all the three posts in the prestigious GGM Science College elections by big margin.
ABVP candidate Raghav Sharma won president election, who polled 29 out of 37 votes, Jagdeep Singh was elected as Vice President with 25 votes, while Mohit Singh was elected as General Secretary with 21 votes.
The election was conducted in a peaceful and democratic manner. In the morning all the students elected their class representatives. Later all the elected 37 CRs gathered in the hall of electronics department, who elected their President, Vice President and general secretary respectively.
While addressing a huge student gathering the newly elected GGM Sc. College President Raghav Sharma thanked all the students for their huge support, he also thanked the election committee and Principal and faculty of the college for smooth and peaceful elections. Raghav Sharma further assured all the students that newly elected college executive will fight tooth and nail all the genuine demands of GGM college students. Later, Raghav Sharma along with Jaideep Singh and Mohit Singh met the Principal Satinder Singh and teaching faculty of the college and sought blessings from them. Principal Satinder Singh Congratulated the newly elected office bearers and appealed for their co-operation for the betterment of the College.
A victory procession was also organized in the college campus with great fun and fair.
