| Truck Operators Union elects new body | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 4:In an emergency meeting held at Transport Nagar, Jammu, today, which was attended by prominent transporters of Jammu and Srinagar, it was decided, in the common interest of truck operators and people connected with the goods transport industry, to bring all the Truck Allotment Tables (A, B, C & D), under the umbrella of the All Jammu & Kashmir Truck Operators Union, Jammu-Srinagar, with immediate effect. The meeting also unanimously elected the following office bearers of the Union for Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
While Jagbir Singh Soodan, Manmohan Singh Khalsa, Sanmukh Singh and Manjeet Singh were elected as Convener, President, General Secretary and Vice- President respectively for Jammu division.
For Kashmir division, Haji Ghulam Qadir was nominated Convener while Abdul Rashid Lone elected as President.
The remaining office bearers and members of the Executive of the Union will be nominated in consultation with the tables in due course.
