Navratra Festival-2011 | Final of All India Devotional Song competition today | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 4:Navratra Festival’s All India Devotional Song Competition will be held tomorrow in the premises of Yog Ashram Complex, Katra. Addressing media persons here today, Chairman All Indian Devotional Song Committee Rakesh Wazir said the competition is organized jointly by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and J&K Tourism in association with active support of Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra, Zee News, Zee Jagran ,Mh Shardha, Big 92.7 FM, J&K Bank, Vehicleades Maruti Suzuki, Punjabi Haveli, Ambe International Group, District administration, under the overall supervision of Navratra Festival Committee headed by Divisional Commissioner Jammu. Wazir informed that the Devotional Song Competition started 14 years back with the main aim to promote and provide platform to the singers for from all over India in the holy township of Katra/besides promotion of the tourism in J&K. Most of the judges especially Ganesh Jain Managing Director Venus Records & Tapes Ltd, Vikas Mohan Trade analyst and film maker, Mukesh Bhatt and Barkha Arora CEO Zee Jagran remained associated with it from the very beginning and this year Pritam, leading Music Director and Madhur Bhandarkar, leading Producer Director have also joined it. The live telecast of the programme will be available to the people on Shradha Mh one. Now all these film and media personalities will perform their duties as judges in the final of All India Devotional Song Competition. Wazir informed that the 1st prize of this competition is gold worth Rs one lakh besides recording contract with Venus Records & Tapes Ltd. and this provision is going on since 1999. He said that if the programme of All India Devotional Song Competition has attained these heights, the people from Bollywood had their great contribution in it.
