kishtwar, Oct 4: Tall claims of Government of Jammu and Kashmir regarding creation of job opportunities for unemployed youths of the state through Sher-e-Kashmir Unemployment package for unemployed youths falls flat, as the government fails to release the selection list of 4th class posts in Chenab region for which the government issued notification in the year 2006 dated 15-03-2006 from the office of Deputy Commissioner Doda, now divided into 3 Districts viz Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban and invited the applications from unemployed youths for the appointment of class IV employees in various department, but despite the lapse of more than 5 years, the selection list of the selected candidate is yet to be disclosed.
It was after the lapse of more than 5 years, the district Administration Doda called the candidates for interview in May 2011 and till date the authorities failed to release the list of the selected candidates.
After getting dejected, some of the unemployed youth who had cross the upper age limit of 37 years have approached the High Court Jammu vide SWP No: 1706/2011,CMP 2609/2011 dated 29-08-2011filed by Advocate TR Wani on behalf of the petitioners seeking direction from court to direct Deputy Commissioner Doda for immediate release of the list with the hope that the petitioner who had crossed the upper age limit required for applying in any government job might featured in the selection list.
After listening, the learned council, Justice Virender Singh of Jammu and Kashmir High Court directed the respondent (DC Doda) to furnish the final selection list of the selected candidates and accordingly published the same within the period of two months from the date of issuance of order from High Court so that the petitioner who had full right to know about his fate, weather he had been selected or not.
When contacted Deputy Commissioner, Doda Farooq Ahmed Khan said that the process of selection list has already been completed and assured that the list will be released within a day or two.
He said that he had great regards for court and as per court direction; they were releasing the list well before the two months dead line set by the honorable court.
It is worthwhile to mention that more than 6 lacs unemployed youths have registered their names in various unemployment exchange of the state through Sher-e-Kashmir unemployment package for youths with the hope that they get some stipend money from the government, but with the passage of time the package merely turns out to be a hoax.
