Cong camp holds meeting in Srinagar | Leaders of both factions attend | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 4: While adjournment of Assembly sine die today has brought some relief to the NC , its main alliance partner Congress held a meeting today in Srinagar to discuss the crisis being faced by the coalition in the backdrop of scathing attack by opposition, mainly PDP which continues insisting on Chief Minister's resignation. Reliable sources said a meeting was held in Srinagar which was attended by all the ministers, legislators and even some senior leaders of the party today. The Congress camp discussed the whole issue which had shook the coalition, NC in particular, sources said adding that it was perhaps for the first time the leaders, legislators and even ministers who owe allegiance to two factions of the party came to attend the meeting . Some Congress leaders expressed concern over what they said that facets unfolding from the incident were bound to damage the image of the party as a whole this being the main ally in ruling dispensation led by NC, sources said. While the Congress leaders are worried about the fate of the government which they feel in on unstable wheels, some ministers and legislators are flying to New Delhi to express their fears and concerns to the quarters that matter in High command, sources added. |
